first day (sorta)

after a few weeks of evaluating … stuff … the wife and i decided to take a job in Santa Monica and move up. things are happening fast — really fast. so fast in fact, that i had to go to SM and find an apartment without Erin (who was working that day). yesterday, we took the drive up to pick up our keys and to actually show my wife where she’d be living for the next ?? years. it was crazy. i was very nervous, having made the decision by myself. but she loved it…especially when she realized how close we live to Cost Plus. we got lunch at Wahoos (one of her favorites). then her folks showed up. we showed them the place, and then cruised down to 3rd St. Promenade. we waited in line for 15 minutes at Coffee Bean to get a frozen treat. the walk down the beach was beautiful.

going home this afternoon to do some touch up paint in our second bedroom…then move all our stuff out of OUR bedroom so i can paint that. i’ll be living in our dining room this week. crazy times ahead.
